The Junior Rangers Investigative Club: was founded by Cassidy and Justin Case, Mattie Jackson, and Miguel and Lucy Benitez to solve the Big Mystery. They have encountered and solved a series of mysteries in various national parks, and continue to look for answers to the 1 mystery they’ve never been able to solve.

While there are J.R.I.C. members throughout the U.S., and some abroad, The team that encounters the most mysteries, (runs into the most trouble,) usually includes Justin Case, Lucy Benitez, Amelia Zhang (ace J.R.I.C. reporter,) Bethany Caulfield, and Rudy Scheer.
Honorable mentions go to Mattie Jackson, Cassidy Case, and Miguel Benitez.

A vast ocean surrounds seven desert islands full of possibilities. Once home to pirates, smugglers, soldiers and prisoners: Dry Tortugas National Park has its share of historical and natural wonders. If there aren’t enough treasures on these pearls of land, there are many more beneath the waves.
In these surrounding waters something is amiss. A team of archeologist is on site to study centuries of shipwrecks scattered through the colorful coral reefs. But equipment has gone missing and there are strange shadows at night. When valuable artifacts begin to disappear, their expedition is under threat.
Only the Junior Ranger’s Investigative Club can solve the case. Can they figure out who is sabotaging the archeologists before it’s too late? Will they find the missing artifacts? And what is this rumor of vast riches hidden somewhere in the park?
Treasure in Biscayne Bay
A Mystery in: Biscayne National Park
There was once a pirate named Caesar, or two pirates named Caesar? The history is uncertain. When the J.R.I.C. stumble onto a clue pointing to the legendary pirate and a map purportedly leading to his vast treasure hidden somewhere south of Miami, it seems like the perfect opportunity for a bonified treasure hunt.
The only problem: they aren’t alone in the search for gold and glory! Someone else is scouring the waters and islands of Biscayne National Park looking for treasure. When an old nemesis appears, treasure map in hand, and brings with him various instances of vandalism and danger, Justin, Rudy, and their friends must solve the clues left behind by Pirate Caesar, and work to find the treasure before the shady boat captain.
Now it’s a race to see who can find the treasure first, while avoiding some of the most dangerous elements in southern Florida, mosquitos, the sun, and cutthroat pirates. Can the J.R.I.C. find the Treasure, or are there even deeper mysteries hiding in the waters of Biscayne Bay.
The Specters of Mammoth Cave
A Mystery in: Mammoth Cave National Park
Fall brings wonderful things to southern Kentucky, colorful leaves, migrating birds, cool weather, and—a waterfall of blood in the cave!?
Something spooky is happening in southern Kentucky, and J.R.I.C. is on the case. They are not alone. A team known as the Specter Detectors is in the area investigating the recent paranormal happenings. Or, are they causing them?
Amelia Zhang is excited to tour alongside her favorite team of ghost hunters. Bethany Caulfield is thrilled to show off her old park. Justin can’t help but be suspicious of the ghost hunters who conveniently appeared after the first spectral “boo.”
As strange things are seen traversing the woods around the park, weird voices call out in the dark, and the underground Echo River turns red, the J.R.I.C. and the Specter Detectors are left to investigate the ghastly phenomena. Together, can the two teams get to the heart of the mystery?
Are ghosts haunting the world’s longest cave, or is something more nefarious going on?
To find out, Justin, Lucy, Bethany, Amelia and Rudy will have to explore both the above ground haunts and cavernous depths of the National Park, while looking for The Specters of Mammoth Cave.

Strange things are happening in Southern Florida. A woman went missing in Everglades National Park. Something frightened a group of school children during their summer camp in Big Cypress National Preserve. Weird lights are appearing in the sky, and strange people are infiltrating science groups and work groups, while pretending to be park employees.
Amelia Zhang of the Junior Rangers Investigative Club is on the ground documenting each of these Strange Incidents, hoping to discover the troublemakers and what they are doing. To that end, she’s gathered friends to help solve the case. Except, Justin Case is more interested in exploring new discoveries in his Big Mystery, and Lucy Benitez is skeptical that there are connections between the bizarre events.
However, when a familiar foe appears and an old legend resurfaces, the J.R.I.C. quickly discovers answers to the obvious questions. Now, they have to gather clues and search for a rumor to prove that the shady organization Trident is up to no good. Can they catch them in the act, or find the true Treasure in the Swamp before it’s too late?
Treasure in the Swamp is the fourth book in the unnumbered Junior Rangers Investigative Club Novels series. It follows the five members of the J.R.I.C. as they seek to investigate an old legend and a dangerous enemy in two of Southern Florida’s largest and wildest parks.
