Two Months Later

So this is the new year.

I guess I have some resolutions.

Maintain this blog. Continue writing the Junior Rangers Investigative Club series. Put out the educational materials I’ve been working on, (which should work in concert with the novels I’ve already released along with upcoming stories,) more Coffee Chronicles, some in-person presentations, more book festivals, and oh so much more.

But, instead of building a massivly steep hill of expectations and commitments, I decided to simply start with this blog.

Mostly, I wanted to show off my new, New Years gif.

Happy New Year!

The motto is “Work Smarter, not Harder,” but the reality is that even though I rushed it, it probably took more time than was justified. That happens though. Efficiency is overrated in comparison to attempting something fun. And that’s what this was supposed to be. Fun.

The goal of the Alienjest Press is supposed to be entertainment. Education too, but entertainingly. So, there will be more of that in 2026.

Treasure in the Swamp is coming. And with it, a whole lot more information on Big Cypress National Preserve and the Everglades, including a short story or 2 which should provide more insight into the plans of the secret shadowy organization working in Southern Florida.

I’m also working towards the 5th book in the J.R.I.C. novels now. Coffee Chronicles season 2 is underway. I’m location scouting for future J.R.I.C. novels. I will continue the #worthfightingfor series about our National Parks. And, as previously mentioned: there will be more educational resources available on this website soon.

All of that is coming,

This short blog is a short and simple announcement of the major plans for the year,

but it’s also encouragement.

I’m about to go outside. And this year, you should get outside too. I write about our national parks, because I love them. Our parks were formed to preserve awesome places full of nature and history. But they are also here to be enjoyed and appreciated. I’ll be appreciating a couple of them in this upcoming year. And you should too!

What parks are you planning to visit in 2026?
